Ward Forum budget – update

The December councillors and residents’ Ward Forum not only had a presentation from the Council’s Waste Management team, but agreed that around £15,000 would be spent on local projects.  These include:  a football training programme for local youths, a one day mini Olympics for children and families at the cricket ground, support for a parents’ group and Creative Kids club, a children’s party and a day out for elderly people, assistance for local groups and Leyton Art gallery, along with support for a Queen’s Jubilee street party in Beaumont Road.

The Lib Dem Focus Team councillors are continually looking for funds to go to local projects in the ward.  They are working closely with London and Quadrant Housing Association to put on local projects that benefit both old and young residents of the ward area.  f you have any ideas on projects you would like to see locally, then contact one of the Focus Team.  or telephone me, Bob Sullivan, on 020 8556 8335.
