Summer smells and dust may be back?

Over a number of years there have been complaints of smells and dust coming from Bywaters’ waste station at the back of Oliver Road.  To combat this Bywaters agreed to put a roof on the waste transfer station some years ago but they have now backed off and are only prepared to put a canopy over the site.  The Government’s Environmental Agency recently inspected the site and found that a canopy would not get rid of the large number of birds and the dust they found coming from the site.  The Council is looking into how seriously the dust impacts on the environment and if it is detrimental to human health before any legal action can take place.  Check this website again for updates.
